Big Bang Technology

I had to pull our FutureRuby crash-pad video in light of some recent, late-breaking information. Big Bang Technology headquarters is moving and I didn't want to mis-represent ourselves. We will still have space available for a couple of people during FutureRuby but we haven't been able to get access to it yet to take a video walk through. Stay tuned and as soon as I have more information rest assured I will definitely put it out there!

Kim Cameron strives to solve these questions in part one of his presentation on Project Geneva. Very interesting and explained in pretty basic english.

Big Bang Technology will be there most of the day. Should be interesting.

I gave a talk this morning at BarCamp London 5 about CSS Systems, a new term that I am using to define a top-down approach to architecting a site's CSS.

A CSS System is a reusable set of content-oriented markup patterns and associated CSS created to express a site's individual design. It is the end result of a process that emphasizes up-front planning, loose coupling between CSS and markup, pre-empting browser bugs and overall robustness. It also incorporates a shared vocabulary for developers to communicate the intent of the code.

The Wireframe Graph Paper Notepad is made for visual designers, interaction designers, and information architects designing for the screen. The notepad has 50 sheets at 8 1/2 x 11 inches on white 70# paper, glued on the left side. The ink is a non-photo blue (cyan) so that the grid lines and any sketch lines made in non-photo blue pencil can be knocked out when scanned and processed in graphics software.

I always watch Democracy Now. It's the only daily news program I trust.

I watched the screencast of this recently. I find this weird. Sproutcore is a javascript framework that uses ruby for generators and easy framework creation. Sprouts is an actionscript project generation and configuration tool. I wonder who thought of the name first?

I was supposed to be pushing to staging but I hit the wrong button. Oops =)
